The Trek Factory Downhill team was born on 1st January 2016 when Dan, Gee and Rachel Atherton signed to race for Trek Bicycles.

The partnership marked the start of a new era for the Athertons, recognised around the world as the fastest family on two wheels and the first year of the collaboration saw Rachel’s “Perfect Season” the first time this has ever been achieved in the sport.

Between them, Dan Gee and Rachel already hold 7 World Championships, 44 World Cups and 17 UK National titles.

The 2018 team will also include 17 year–old Junior rider Kade Edwards who is a graduate of the Atherton Academy and rides for the Factory team for the second year and new signing Charlie Hatton, 26th overall in the 2017 World Cup rankings.
