Inside Sales and Customer Experience Representative

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented mountain bike enthusiast who would like to join our Sales and Customer Experience teams. The Inside Sales and Customer Experience Rep’s role is to provide account management support to the sales team and provide outstanding customer service and support to MRP customers of all types. This role assumes the lead for the in-person, local, consumer, and dealer subchannels with the goal of increased sales, customer satisfaction, and brand loyalty. This role requires coordinated communication between sales, production, and customers to ensure that  expectations are met and everyone is stoked!

Essential Functions:

Customer Service

  • Answer customer’s technical product and service questions by phone, e-mail, online chat, and in-person and providing outstanding support and timely follow-up.
  • Take customer orders by phone, e-mail and in-person, suggesting and recommending products when applicable.
  • Manage order process from order entry through to shipment, ensuring that orders are sent to the shop floor for production and that order updates are communicated to production and shipping.
  • Ensure that customers receive updates when items are delayed and as their order ships out.
  • Manage warranty/return database and processes.
  • Continually work to improve and create new customer service programs and processes that will create raving fans.
  • Work with marketing to address customer service-related pain-points and develop problem-solving resources.
  • Provide facility tours to visiting customers when practical.
  • Provide sales and event support at local events on weekends as needed. 

Inside Sales and Account Management

  • Assist outside salespeople with order entry, order management and customer correspondence.
  • Manage price lists and ERP pricing to ensure that all pricing is up to date.
  • Monitor and manage B2B partners’ stock status and product mix and suggest orders when appropriate to ensure that MRP products are readily available through existing channels.
  • Work with VP of Sales to proactively recruit new dealers and reengage with previous accounts with the goal of increasing dealer-direct sales.
  • Identify and actively engage with North American bicycle dealers and small OE customers with the goal of adding new customers and growing existing customers. 
  • Work closely with local shops to develop relationships and gain exposure for MRP products and deliver local shop orders when possible.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive bicycle product knowledge and strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and skills
  • Eagerness to provide a high-level of customer service that balances speed, efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills, follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to use good judgment and be decisive when it comes to addressing customer concerns and problems.
  • Desire to actively engage with customers and potential customers to increase MRP revenue through new customer acquisition and existing customer growth.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to drive results and meet customer expectations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

CNC Machinist/Programmer (Click for full description)

Mountain Racing Products (MRP) provides our customers with high-end bicycle components that help them enjoy their passion. We design, test, and manufacture our products in Grand Junction, Colorado. We are searching for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team and help MRP to continue providing our customers with innovative, award-winning suspension and drivetrain components. Our machinists are a critical part of our R&D design team, working together with our engineers to program and machine new proto-type parts in addition to running parts for production.

Primary duties include:

  • Programming, set-up and operation of Mazak and Star Swiss Lathes.
  • Programming, set-up and operation of proto-type and production parts.
  • Set-up and operation of mills and manual machines as needed.
  • Part inspection, cleaning and deburring as needed.

Position requirements:

  • At least 2 years of Mazak Lathe and/or Star Swiss Lathe set-up and programming experience.
  • Prior experience with Partmaker and Fusion 360 CAD/CAM preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and load parts into machinery.
  • Ability to read blueprints, use calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible to meet R&D and production needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Assembly/Building Maintenance (Click for full description)

Assembly/ Building Maintenance

Mountain Racing Products (MRP) manufactures high end bicycle components in Grand Junction, Colorado. We are searching for a production team member to do general assembly, building maintenance and float between production jobs as needed.

Primary duties include:

  • Assembling components with attention to quality, detail and timeliness.
  • Accurately recording assembled items into company’s computer system to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Check assembled parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform general building and landscaping maintenance as needed.
  • Clean and organize shop areas as required.
  • Deliver and pick up parts to and from vendors as needed.

Position requirements:

  • Driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to drive a manual shift vehicle.
  • Ability to work with hands to assemble small parts quickly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge and experience using hand tools.
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to move between jobs.
  • Must be able to lift light to moderate parts and equipment and be on your feet for up to eight hours/day.
