FOREFRONT
The “Forefront” feature allows for 4-way, front-accessible setup and adjustment. This broad adjustability makes installation less “trial-and-error” and more “set-and-forget.”
Nice and light, small, doesn’t get in the way of anything. Used the thicker spacers for my Transition Patrol. Been using MRP guides since the ‘90’s, love em!
If you aggressively ride an IBIS Ripley V4, then I can't recommend this chainguide enough. Wow, the fit, the function, the size, the clever adjustment points. I would buy this again and recommend to all my friends. There is not very much room with the DW Links on this version of the Ripley and this guide is a perfect all mountain "keep the chain on" but not *overkill* guide. This guide bolts directly to the IBIS "bottom bracket spacer tab thinga-ma-jig" that is meant to mount guides to. Perfectly. I used the bigger spacer washers on my application and the chain is perfectly centered across the cassette range and does not rub anywhere. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Stop reading. Buy it. I'm serious. I have owned a ton of guides (I tried to get all of the old ones to fit this bike to no avail!) and this one is KING. Order now.
Great instruction video. It was relatively easy to install. Mine were for the Maven Base. One thing that I really like is that there is 2 screws now instead of the pin. The contact point is solid.
The price was also good compare to the competition. I recommend it.
Added this with a V2 Damper and 180mm spring on a first Gen ZEB. It’s so plush I swore that something was wrong but quickly realized it just eats! No regrets.
Replaced a Grip damper in a Fox 34 on an aggressive 120 travel bike, much more grip (ha!) and composure. Highly recommend.
This isn’t my first MRP fork and it won’t be my last. Set up was very straightforward. I’m a heavier rider and realize my setup could be a challenge with an air spring setup.
No issues at all. Happy camper…
