EssenTTial Damper
EssenTTial gives you consistent and controlled damping. The damper features twin-tube architecture and a low-friction, low-pressure floating piston design for long-lasting performance. The damper has been tuned for a firm, supportive ride and external adjustability gives you broad control of low-speed compression, tunable from open to locked-out
FullFill With Ramp Control
The FullFill air-spring features independent positive and negative air chambers, providing more tuning opportunities than self-equalizing systems. Ramp Control technology gives riders powerful, speed-sensitive, and on-the-fly control of end-stroke ramp-up via a 16-position knob. Huck Puck volume spacers can be added or removed to tune baseline spring progression.
Automatic Casting Vent
Pressure relief valves are great for expelling pressure build up in your lower casting that comes from temperature and elevation changes, but they have one problem: you must remember you activate them. With our new ACV (Automatic Casting Vent) technology, that’s no longer the case. These vents are set from the factory to blow-off when pressure levels rise enough to influence your effective spring rate, keeping your ride consistent regardless of environmental factors. Two ACV vents are found on our highest-end air-sprung forks with the EssenTTial damper, while only one is needed on forks with the Lift Damper. With the Lift Damper taking up less leg volume than the EssenTTial Damper, pressure never builds in the damper leg of Lift-equipped forks to necessitate venting.
The Lift V2 has been an outstanding upgrade from the Fox Grip2 damper. Every adjustment click makes a noticeable difference in both compression and rebound making setup/tuning easy. The mid-stroke support, and plushness provided the Lift V2 is something I never experienced with the Grip2. Riding higher in the fork travel has also helped the handling of the bike by preserving the bikes geometry in travel.
The straps hold the foot really good
You can use them with any shoes you want, even with shoes with wide toe box (barefoot shoes)
In my case I needed to use XL straps since my size didn't fit in regular strap (11 US barefoot Altra sneakers)
The only thing I would like to change is to have possibility to move them a bit outside of the pedals closer to the back wheel in order to place the front part of the foot on the pedal, and not the middle part
If you aggressively ride an IBIS Ripley V4, then I can't recommend this chainguide enough. Wow, the fit, the function, the size, the clever adjustment points. I would buy this again and recommend to all my friends. There is not very much room with the DW Links on this version of the Ripley and this guide is a perfect all mountain "keep the chain on" but not *overkill* guide. This guide bolts directly to the IBIS "bottom bracket spacer tab thinga-ma-jig" that is meant to mount guides to. Perfectly. I used the bigger spacer washers on my application and the chain is perfectly centered across the cassette range and does not rub anywhere. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Stop reading. Buy it. I'm serious. I have owned a ton of guides (I tried to get all of the old ones to fit this bike to no avail!) and this one is KING. Order now.
I was excited to finally see a company (MRP) had finally decided to make a weight scaled damper for commonly available forks.
unfortunately i had just bought a new fox 38 with the VVC Grip 2 on sale and the fork budget was out for a bit. After a disappointing and frustrating trip away with the 38s I came home with the realization that revalving for a heavier rider is a necessity. I am about 118kg with gear on, so sit in the middle of the red tune and reading some reviews recommending to tune down made me hesitant on a decision. After finally deciding to go with the red tune for my vorsprung smashpot equipped Marzocchi Z1 I pulled the trigger and ordered one. The first ride was a revelation and I am not kidding I have never felt a fork like this i was blown away and left wondering is this what they are supposed to feel like. Full disclosure my bike is a homemade high pivot with a designed low leverage ratio for a heavy rider on the rear and I work on hard on maintaining strength and power for my weight. Not sure if any of this has contributed to the magic spot this damper has filled on this bike. The only regret I have is not ordering an extra one for the other fork when buying this one on sale.
Very nice addition to my Kreitler setup; built durably, and fits together well with rollers.
