Set Screw M3x6
Always thought these were a luxury I could do without. Would never go back now. Solid. Easy to changeover using the supplied video instructions
Nice and light, small, doesn’t get in the way of anything. Used the thicker spacers for my Transition Patrol. Been using MRP guides since the ‘90’s, love em!
I have never really gotten along with the Fox 38. At the recommended settings and psi they can be brutally harsh and at lower pressures they offer very little support and control. The MRP Lift V2 fixed all of the above. It has the support you need for steep technical descending with a controlled plush feel on fast downhill. At 192 lbs I went with the green tune and so far I don't feel like I need to change that even though it's on a 52 pound ebike. Definitely will be purchasing a second one to go in a Zeb even though in my opinion the base Zeb has a better damper in it than the Fox 38 grip2.
I upgraded my 160mm Fox 36 from a Grip2 damper to a Yellow MRP Lift V2 (rider weight 170lbs). I was previously running ~10% lower air pressure than recommended by Fox to achieve full travel with zero inserts; but since I paired the damper upgrade with an air spring upgrade (NA2 to NA3 Glidecore) , bushing burnishing, and Supergliss in place of the Fox 20wt, I had to increase back to Fox's recommended pressure (72psi) to avoid bottoming out. I was a bit nervous that my first ride on the new setup was on The Whole Enchilada from the Kokopelli drop, but the fork worked wonderfully with MRP's recommended settings. It was beautifully supple on the smaller hits, yet remained high in the travel despite repeated large hits. A very worthwhile upgrade!
I replaced a Grip 2 on my Fox 38 with this. The install was incredibly simple and the weight range tuning is on point.
I could never get the Grip 2 exactly where I needed it, and this nailed the setup after setting sag and adjusting compression.
